Club Centenary Tree Removed

By on November 18, 2011

Provided is a picture of the centenary tree that was planted in 1984 to mark 100 years of Round Tower GAA Club. The tree has recently been removed because its roots were damaging the nearby football. The picture shows then Parish Priest Father Ryan planting the tree in 1984 with Club Chairman Joe Gallagher and Vice Chairman P J Farrelly in attendance. The picture is featured in this week’s edition of Between the Posts, which is available to view online.
