Round Towers U13′ Camogs travelled down the M50 to Parnell’s Gaa club to take part in the U14 Feile. The camogs were delighted to take part in what was a difficult day in terms of the difference in age and maturity of the opposition, but this young team did not let Clondalkin GAA down.

Their first game was against locals rivals Commercials of Rathcoole and it proved to be a difficult task, Commericals were just too good for the young camogs and with some beautiful field play Commercials ran out 3-1-0-0 from Towers. This was a good display from Towers and they did not flinch from the daunting task.

The second game was against Na Fianna who started off well with two quick goals. Towers got back into the game with great goal from Emma O’ Malley and then a wonderful point from Aisling Seery assisted by Aibí Ward. Na Fianna responded with a fine point, and Towers got back into the game with another goal from O’ Malley. Towers were kept in the match by the great display at the back from Angie McNamara,Fiona Walsh and inspirational goalkeeping by Chloe Murphy who are both maturing in play each week. The games finished level Na Fianna 1-2 to Towers 2-1

The third match against Erin Go Bragh was a tight game with Erin Go Bragh winning 1-1-Tower 0-0.

Towers fourth game was a cracker against Setanta which Towers needed to win to keep their locals rivals Commercials in the competition and Commericals offered great support to the Clondalkin team. Lauren Davis scored a great point and Emma O’ Malley scored a fine goal. In the second half Setanta came out stronger as the Girls from Clondalkin got tired but battled to the bitter end. These Young Camogs can be very proud of their individual performances and overall team spirit, they never stopped and we hope that on Monday when many of them will be Headquarters to pay in their schools finals. We wish both Gaelscoils well
