Ladies adult footballers back in action

Round Towers are delighted to have a ladies adult football team back on the playing field this year. The ladies will play cup and league at Division 3 level, and will be competing in Junior A championship. As a new team, the ladies have been showing great motivation and some excellent potential on the playing field, training hard fot the last ten weeks. There is plenty of talent in the team and the ladies are hopeful for a successful season. They kicked off their season with a cup defeat last Wednesday evening against Croi Ro Naofa but showed flashes of brilliance. They recorded their first win this Wednesday in a spirited display against O’Tooles. The ladies fought back from a six point deficit at half time to win by a point in the end. The performance was the definition of hard work and all of the panel playing a part. The ladies will play Lucan in the first league match in the community centre on Wednesday 13th April at 7pm.
