Hurling camp great success

52 hurling kids took part in the Bank Holiday Hurling Camp on Monastery Road. Four hurling coaches with some great experience took the lads and lassies through the drills/skills/games today and big thanks to them, Paidi Stapleton ( played senior club hurling in Tipperary and Kerry, and now plays senior hurling with towers). Brian Mac Laughlin (played with Dublin squads at Minor/U21 and currently plays with Fermanagh County and Towers Senior). Gary Quinlivan (Currently plays Dublin Minor/U21 and Towers Senior). Eoghan Young ( played Dublin Minor/U21 and currently Towers senior) a wealth of experience between them and much thanks to them. We were expecting senior Dublin hurlers Liam Rushe and Mark Schutte today, but they had to pull out as they are match bound after yesterdays draw against Galway, but they will make an apperance in future camp. The weather held up today and the kids seemed to enjoy the day. It was the first hurling camp of its kind in towers and the coaches couldn’t believe the very high skill of the kids, the next camp will be further on in the summer, possibly August, the cost to be decided, but for every kid that took part today there will be a 10 Euro discount. thanks folk.
