Round Tower seeks host families for Féile 2020
A chairde,
The National Féile na nGael (U14) tournament will be hosted next year in Dublin, Kildare and Meath on 5th to the 7th June 2020 and Round Towers are looking to participate as a host club and enter one Hurling and one Camogie team. As part of participation in Féile na nGael, each host club is expected to provide host accommodation for the visiting teams i.e. hosting players and mentors (1 hurling & 1 camogie). This requires host families from within the club accommodating a minimum 2 players for the weekend. We estimate we would need approximately 30 host families to accommodate two visiting teams. Visiting squads are made up of a maximum 24 players and 4 mentors. Host families can come from the wider club membership and do not have to be families of players involved.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Round Tower members to participate and host a national tournament here in Clondalkin, to promote our games and to foster links with other clubs from the visiting counties.
If you would be happy to be a host family you can contact our Juvenile secretary Dean Alford before Wednesday 27th November. We will host an information evening where all the necessary information for hosting families will be provided well in advance of the tournament next year.
Please note: the deadline for registering as a host club is November 30th and we will only do so if we can confirm we have the required number of host families available.
Please get in touch if you have any queries. You can contact Juvenile Secretary Dean Alford at 086 1035874 or dean.m.alford@gmail.com
