Elsie Naughton & Mary Sullivan RIP

Round Tower GAA Club extends its condolences to the Naughten and Ryan family following the passing of loved ones Elsie Naughton and Mary Sullivan this week. Elsie Naughton was previously a great volunteer with our Camogie section and her husband Pat served as Chairman of Round Tower. Mary was mother of Trish Ryan, mother-in-law of Executive Member John Ryan, and grandmother of Honorary Secretary Martin Ryan. Their funeral details follow and the thoughts and prayers of Round Tower are with their families. D’fhéadfadh a n-anamacha a anam.

 

The death has occurred of Elsie NAUGHTON (née Burke)
Clondalkin, Dublin / Athlone, Westmeath

Naughton, Elsie (née Burke, Athlone), Clondalkin, Dublin 22. Peacefully at home after a long illness bravely borne. Beloved wife for 52 years of Pat. Deeply regretted by her daughters Colette and Rowena, sons Pat, Paul and Kevin, her sisters Pauline and Margaret, brothers Michael, Tommy, Sean, Paul, Noel and Brendan. Loving grandmother to Aisling, Patrick, Ciara, Caoimhe, Róisín, Callum, Sinéad, Gavin and Tara. Sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Sarah and Gina, her son-in-law Bernard and a large circle of friends.

Elsie has donated her body to medical research. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 21, in Church of The Immaculate Conception, Clondalkin, at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society.

The Green, Lixnaw, Kerry / Annascaul, Kerry

Sullivan, (nee Moriarty) Mary, The Green, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry, formerly of Ballinahunt, Annascaul. Peacefully at Newpark Care Centre in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Jim, ex Garda Siochana. Sadly missed by her daughters Marie, Eileen and Patricia and her son James, sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing tomorrow, Friday, at Newpark Care Centre, The Ward, Co Dublin, from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday to St Michael’s Church, Lixnaw arriving for 6.30pm. Funeral Mass Sunday morning at 11.30am. Burial immediately afterwards in Ballinclare Cemetery, Annascaul. Family flowers only.
