The Round Towers U9s girl football team got into competitive action for the first time this year on a wet and windy Sunday morning. We fielded two teams to play against St Judes and both games proved to be entertaining and enjoyable matches. The girls displayed some excellent skills and showed great teamwork in difficult conditions. All the girls were very enthusiastic and ran their hearts out. They worked hard to win the ball and supported each other throughout the game. Their skills are continuing to improve and it is obvious to see how well they are developing. Their level of commitment to training is a credit to themselves and their parents.
Overall, the mentors were really pleased with the girls. It was a really good start for the team. Thanks to Robbie Downes for the report.
